Dr. James E. Sorensen, D.C.

Dr. James Sorensen, D.C. is a licensed chiropractor serving the families of Burleson and Mansfield. He was born in Lewisville Texas, however grew up in Tucson, AZ. He travelled around for Undergraduate with stops in Iowa, Colorado and finished his degree at the University of Arizona in which he graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences and a minor in Chemistry. From there he went on to complete his graduate work at Parker University in Dallas, Texas where he received his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2015. Dr. James was introduced to Chiropractic as a freshman in high school when he injured his back playing football. After the injury the trainers couldn’t find anything wrong with his low back. His father made the decision to get him to a Chiropractor. It was then that his fascination with Chiropractic began.

Dr. James Sorensen has completed advanced training in Functional Neurology to look specifically at how the Human body is functioning. While completing the training he has also garnered a great respect and admiration for the younger population as well. Dr. James has since become a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association with plan to complete the modules as soon as possible.

Dr. James knows that because birth can be physically and emotionally stressful for mom and baby, he also provides gentle chiropractic care to newborns. 95% of babies have spinal misalignments from the birth process which affect nursing and latch, rest, digestion, growth, development, and immune function. He feels these adjustments are a vital part to the health of babies as well as adults who wish to maintain a Healthy Lifestyle. His passion is helping entire families live life abundantly and with as little interference to their nervous system as possible.

When he is not in the office seeing patients Dr. James loves spending time with his family that includes his wife Sam and daughter Andersen (Andi) and their two dogs Cash and Snickers. Dr. James also enjoys playing slow pitch softball during the week. He loves the outdoors whether he is fishing or learning to hunt. Alongside of being outdoors he also loves cars and is currently working to restore his 66 Ford Mustang that was his fathers.
